Endurance Training
"If you're in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out, Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt." - Anon
My love of health and fitness started with a visit from the Army Careers Advisor to our school. I had always been sporty, competing in regional and county levels in Judo and Fencing, but the entry requirements laid down by my regiment of choice drove me to start 'endurance training'. I started running five times a week without fail, at first only for a few miles, and then built it up from there. I completed my first half marathon a year later, and in the following twelve months, completed a futher four more.
Now, having experienced the massive benefits of endurance training, I am pleased to say I am in a perfect position to offer this type of training to anyone, whether they have never run futher than the bus stop, or are planning a marathon next year! I will always be there to offer new challenges to keep your training focused, and I will never let it stagnate. Last year, I entered a team into the 'Paras' 10' at ITC Catterick, a 10 Mile endurance march over the same route used for Parachute Regiment selection. Everyone who entered had a great day, and from what I gather they were all pleasantly suprised at what they were capable of, and very happy with their times.
